Exceptions include Who Framed Roger Rabbit and The Nightmare Before Christmas which were originally released under Disney's Touchstone imprint (The latter has since been re-released under the traditional Disney banner). These two films are also regarded as more like "Disney" films compared to other Touchstone titles.
Walt Disney Pictures is noteworthy for having four films that have surpassed the $1 billion mark in worldwide ticket sales, including Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006), Alice in Wonderland (2010), Toy Story 3 (2010), and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011). In addition, Disney is the only major Hollywood studio to have released two films grossing more than $1 billion each worldwide in the same year (2010).
